We know, we know— you’re ready for warmer weather. But is your skin ready? Dramatic shifts in temperature can wreak havoc on your skin while it adjusts to new temperatures and humidity levels. Environmental aggressors can also impact the appearance and texture of your skin. Sometimes at the start of a new season, you might notice an increase in your skin’s oil production while it adjusts to the change in humidity. Changing skin means changing your skincare routine to match.

Apply SPF

We know you’re ready for Spring Break, but it’s not time to take a break from your sunscreen. No matter what time of year it is, protection against harmful UV rays is essential. Even on cloudy spring days, your skin is at risk from ultraviolet sun damage. Before you hit the local park or beach, make sure to pack a sunscreen with at least SPF 30. This level of sun protection will prevent sunburns and premature signs of aging, including hyperpigmentation, sunspots, and fine lines. All exposed skin needs sunscreen, including your neck, chest, and arms. Sunscreen also needs to be reapplied every couple of hours spent outdoors for maximum efficacy.

Exfoliate

The dry winter months can result in a buildup of dead skin cells- spring is a great time to slough off that dry and flaky winter skin and reveal fresh, radiant skin. When you exfoliate the top layer of your skin, it allows your facial products to penetrate deeper into the skin and work their magic. This makes your daily skincare routine more efficient. Exfoliating on a regular basis also boosts circulation and stimulates collagen production, so cell regeneration can occur.

At Cure, we offer an award-winning gentle exfoliator called Cure Aqua Gel. This specially formulated product uses 91% activated hydrogen water and natural ingredients, such as Aloe Leaf Extract and Gingko Biloba Leaf Extract. Our exfoliator gently catches dead skins cells on the surface of your skin, and removes them without using strong acids. Unlike other exfoliators, there are no harsh physical exfoliators (think almond shell particles or microbeads) which can lead to skin damage and premature signs of aging.

Another amazing exfoliant and moisturizer is Himalayan Ruby Rock Salt, which relieves redness and other visible skin irritations. We offer an ayurvedic at-home facial that will prep your skin for the spring weather in no time. Cure Bathtime is made of 100% Ruby Rock Salt from Nepal and is recognized as the world’s highest quality. Rich in minerals, Cure Bathtime helps support the skin's natural protective layer and keeps skin hydrated, healthy, and glowing.  Each pack can be used as a facial splash, foot bath or full-body bath.

Switch to Lightweight Products

During the dry winter months, it’s helpful to use heavy, thick moisturizers or creams to prevent your skin from peeling or flaking. But when the weather starts to warm up and more humidity is in the air, you can opt for more lightweight moisturizers to get the same job done. Using your winter skincare regimen in the spring can leave your skin looking greasy or oily - the best thing to do when the weather shifts is switch from heavy creams to water-based facial products for lightweight hydration.

Our Cure Water Treatment is a spring must-have. It’s oil-free formula hydrates and locks moisture into the skin. Our all-in-one light-weight moisturizer will leave your skin radiant and smooth. It’s perfect for reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, and can even be used as a body lotion or makeup base. Our Water Treatment prevents the evaporation of moisture from the skin.

This spring, embody the best version of yourself by enhancing your skincare regimen with Cure products!
